The Clearing: Final Feedback Round
An opportunity to read, review and make a meaningful contribution to what is emerging.
Thank you to everyone who read the draft of The Clearing Genesis Document and took the time to send me your reflections.
The feedback has been far more valuable than I expected.
Part of that value came from the direct comments themselves - it showed me that the core ideas were clear and landing.
There was another layer too.
Seeing how different people interpreted the document revealed things I could not have seen on my own. Certain comments showed me where something needed to be clarified or tightened while other responses opened up entirely new sections that have now been added to the document. So, the feedback did not just help me improve the document. It became part of the document’s development.
These are a few anonymous reflections from the first round reviewers. Everyone quoted below gave permission for their feedback to be shared because they wanted to contribute to what is emerging here:
“There is life. There is what gets added. I love how grounded, simple, clear and direct this is”
“The idea of certainty stayed with me - that we can’t demand it and that life can’t provide it. It’s all in how we deal with it.”
“What lingered most for me was the idea of The Clearing itself - not as a destination but as a space that appears when we stop running from ourselves.”
“The idea of meeting life directly stayed with me, and I loved the surfer analogy as a description of what that looks like.”
“There was a deep relaxation and leaning back after reading this - I really felt the document.”
“Shared exploration is so important right now. How can we as individuals and a world community let go of our biases and truly listen? I think you are onto something powerful to address that.”
“There is something special here, and I am grateful to be present and interacting with you and the work.”
One response in particular moved me deeply. It shows that the document is able to meet someone inside one of the most difficult realities a human being can face.
“I’m currently going through chemotherapy, it’s the second time in my life when I deal with cancer, and this work helps me accept, allow and be with what is happening.”
Because of how valuable this first round has been, Iv decided to open the document for a second and final round of feedback from people who have not yet read it and would like to be involved and support this process.
Those who already read the first version are also very welcome to review the updated draft if you feel called to. There have been meaningful additions and refinements since the first round.
The document takes around 30 minutes to read. I am looking for people who genuinely have the time and willingness to read it properly and send me a few honest reflections by Sunday. If you know you do not have the time this week, please sit this one out. That is completely fine.
If you would like to take part in this second and final feedback round, please simply hit reply with - Im interested. You are also more than welcome to forward this email onto someone who you think it might resonate with.
I will come back to emails within 24 hours with the document and the reflection questions.
Also, please check your spam or junk folder if you do not hear back from me. A few replies seemed to go missing in the first round, so it is possible some emails landed there.
Thank you again to everyone who has already contributed.
This document is becoming clearer through every meaningful interaction with it.
Very much appreciated,
Ryan
P.S. One last small request. Once this final feedback round is complete, I would love to have one person with strong copy-editing or proofreading skills read through the document and help prepare it for sharing or print. This would be less about changing the substance and more about catching errors, smoothing small details, and helping the document feel properly finished. If that is your kind of skillset/expertise and you would genuinely enjoy contributing in that way, please let me know. I would really appreciate it.
